The Blue Bar
The stunning Blue Bar by interior designer David Collins at the Berkeley Hotel in London is the most beautiful bar I have ever seen. It's lacquered blue walls establish a mood of elegance and sophistication that is truly transcendent. It defies the conventional wisdom that blue in interior design is more of a beach or country living look, or best resigned to bedrooms. Pictured below are some rooms from Domino Magazine that show how sophisticated and modern blue can be. Also, be sure to check out my previous post on another gorgeous bar by David Collins, the Artesian Bar in London. Reminder-have you already left your entry in my Domino giveaway?

That bar is stunning! I love blues, especially deep satured grey-blues. I painted my bedroom a dark grey-blue in fact (Benjamin Moore's Philipsburg Blue) and it's the most sophisticated spot in the house.
ReplyDeleteAverill-I just checked out your blue-it looks very elegant.
ReplyDeleteBeth, what a gorgeous selection of rooms! That bar is tops! Blue+lacquer=gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteAnne-I think a dining room with blue lacquered walls would be wonderful.
