How to Steal a Million
A recent series of posts on Sanity Fair on fashion in film reminded me about the wonderful movie starring Audrey Hepburn and Peter O'Toole "How to Steal a Million." This one is worth watching just for the clothes, sets, and cars. I can't stop thinking about her stunning black lace eye mask that matches her dress and stockings-so perfect, except perhaps, for running to the bank.

Scalloped eye mask....
ReplyDeleteLove your blog. Irene
Irene-Thanks so much and thanks for stopping by-I have actually been searching the web, Etsy, and eBay for a black lace silk eye mask, but no luck yet-everything is either sleep masks, Mardi Gras, or for sex play-none of which is the look I am going for! When I find one I will do a post.
ReplyDeleteThese are great still shots, Beth. I enjoyed that movie...gotta love her innate sense of style. Her car is the best!
ReplyDeleteAnne-I love it all-I wish people dressed like this. The car is so wonderful-an Autobianchi Eden Roc.
ReplyDeleteFAB-U-LOUS. What a wonderful collection of images! Can you imagine living this life (sans bank heists, of course)? Thanks so much for the mention! I've returned the favor :)
ReplyDeleteSF-Thank you for the inspiration and for the nice mention.
ReplyDeleteNot only was she wearing a lace mask, but also black lace stockings and heavy silver glitter covering her eyelids. A true femme fatale.
ReplyDeleteWashington Cube-Yes-a fabulous outfit.
ReplyDeleteI love this actress
