A Walking Piece of Art

I saw this amazing bib necklace featured in Lucky magazine a while back. Banana Republic sure knows how to make impressive statement necklaces. Time passed and disappointedly I hadn't seen it online or in stores. What a pleasant surprise to discover it's now available for you to gaze at and purchase. You better act quickly because this statement piece is sure to fly off the shelves. The colors work in harmony making it a piece of art. It's impossible to wear a necklace this beautiful and not receive a boatload of compliments. If you prefer something a little more understated, but just as pretty, this version is wonderful as well.

  1. I like both of these - J.Crew has also been doing some lovely (and very large) statement pieces. I find myself wearing them with crew or v neck tops - they become a decorative collar, a la Oscar De La Renta's summer 2007 line.

  2. The problem with BR jewelry (at least in my experience) is that, while it looks amazing, it just doesn't hold up. Within a few weeks or months, inevitably stones fall out, clasps break, etc. I've had better luck with J.Crew jewelry in terms of longevity.

  3. Averill-I agree entirely. Kate is the BR fan. I think J. Crew has far superior quality in everything. I am a huge fan of J. Crew jewelry, and get more compliments on it than my David Yurman and other expensive jewelry. Thanks again for the nice mention yesterday on Odi et Amo.

  6. Averill- I agree that J. Crew jewelry is better in terms of its quality. I'd hate for a necklace this pretty to fall apart on me.
