Domino Magazine Blues
Having just received my first issue of Architectural Digest that the brain surgeons at Conde Nast are substituting for our beloved Domino, I really need a Domino fix. My lovely blogger friend Averill at Odi et Amo did the most gorgeous post yesterday on blue and white rooms, so I was inspired to do a post on my favorite blue rooms from Domino. Gone but not forgotten my love!

I am so with you. Got mine, too. It made me barf. It was like insult to injury. Love these blues, even though Domino off the shelf is making me blue.
ReplyDeleteg.-I like to think that many of our design blogs with a fresh, modern, and achievable style are keeping its spirit alive.
ReplyDeleteIt is like one of those friends you miss even more when they are gone! Luckily bloggers can keep the stylish vibe going forever. Lovely post and I love that scalloped dress series below. WOW.
ReplyDeleteSande-You are keeping the stylish vibe going in spades!
ReplyDeleteI so love blue! These are gorgeous rooms, Beth. I hope you have a terrific weekend!
ReplyDeleteAnne-Blue is so classic, and I like Domino's modern fresh examples. Have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteBlue and white is the house I live in! It's very classic and calming and elegant.
ReplyDeleteFrances-I just took a peak at Topaz Horizon. I LOVE the garden stool and the gorgeous blue on your walls. So modern and chic-stop by my new blog Chinoiserie Chic!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the mention and gorgeous selections, Beth!
ReplyDeletePS - I haven't even read the Architectural Digest issue I just got. Is it even worth the effort?
ReplyDeleteAverill-Thanks for the inspiration! As to AD, OMG no!
ReplyDeleteOh, hello old friends. I NEVER get tired of that blue and white zebra wallpaper (I have a lily pulitzer bag she did in blue and white zebra as a consolation prize). I have so many other things to do today, but I'm so tempted to go back and pick through my stash of Dominos. My other favorite magazine (which I began reading since age 12) was Victoria. I feel like I've been thwarted in love twice.
ReplyDeleteWe're on the same (Domino)page, I miss it so. Averill got my love of blue refueled yesterday & your post was the cherry on top. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend.
I'm so bluuuueee, yes I'M blue...(d'ya know that one?) ;)
ReplyDeleteSo, how is it that I've been sent Glamour mag as my Domino substitute? What? Now I can't even get a SHELTER mag at ALL? I think I have a complex!
Sanity Fair-I love the zebra wallpaper-Zebrine by Rose Cumming-a classic. Oh, I loved Victoria magazine. Now I am depressed.
ReplyDeleteDumbwit Tellher-I always wanted to be the cherry on top! ;) Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteMLHP-"I'm so blue I don't know what to do..." If you call Conde Nast you can get AD instead. I'm just getting it so I can intelligently complain about how truly sterile, ugly, and pointless it is. ;)
