Aubergine and Deep Plum

From fashion to interior design, aubergine and deep plum are an elegant, sophisticated, and chic trend this fall. A gorgeous choice for the walls of a dining room, bedroom, powder room, study, anywhere! Not ready to commit to a whole room? Try a sofa, silk taffeta or velvet curtains, a leather ottoman, or a ceiling. Be on the lookout for a great piece in aubergine or plum to add to your wardrobe. Have you seen Betsey Johnson's new tiered skirt/petticoat in plum-to die for!

Aubergine has always been my favorite color. When I was 4, I insisted my father paint my bedroom deep purple...I've loved it ever since! Love these photos.

CC-That is the best idea with all the frames isn't it?

yes yes and YES. Love this. That last picture is precisely how I envision my new study (now whether that's how it turns out is an entirely different story...).

Love the rooms, especially the first one. Deep purple is such a great way to experiment with rich, dark colors without feeling too extreme or serious.

Averill-I'm excited to see how it turns out.

Jill-Maybe if your husband doesn't like purple for a whole room you could introduce a piece here and there-a lampshade, an ottoman, pillows, etc.
