Mad Men Fashion

No series on the best fashion on television would be complete without including the wildly popular AMC series Mad Men. Its recreation of the 1960s, my favorite era in fashion, is nothing short of brilliant.

  1. They really do their homework on that show in terms of set design and fashion. Even down to very tiny details like a matchbook or the size of a cocktail glass. Even if you don't like the plot (which I do) it's well worth watching just to study another era.

...and a great show FROM the sixties for fashion was The Avengers. Diana Rigg wowed.

  2. My absolute favorite is Betty when she is horseback riding. So chic. I'm obsessed with Mad Men and am working my way through season three on Netflix!

  11. GREAT snaps - I wish they would do an updated clothing line based on Mad Men (how's that for merchandising tie-ins?). There's plenty here that's relevant today!

  12. Sanity Fair-I think a lot of designers have been inspired by it, but not that literally.
