Stylish Trash

I so hate trash day which was yesterday in my neighborhood-the huge ugly grey rolling bins and assorted overflow. I started fantasizing about how garbage could be less ugly and here it is! This art installation by Adrian Kondratowicz dotted the streets of New York City last summer to cause people to notice how much trash they produce. The bags are 100% biodegradable and peppermint bubble gum scented, and insect and vermin repellent. Available online. Perhaps an art installation in your loft or apartment or for a wedding or party? And in the mix, perhaps less conspicuous consumption and more recycling.

  1. What fun!

I think one of the worst aspects of living in a big city is all the garbage. Especially in the summer. London was having a bit of a heatwave while we were there -- phew!

Will have to come up with something to do the same here.
    Thanks for that!

  4. Averill-The lack of air conditioning in most places in London makes it seem even worse.

  6. I thought this season we were going back to black? I'm curious to know, is this a ploy to make rubbish bags more visible so they're removed from the streets quicker?
