A Nail Day

Yesterday I had a manicure and pedicure, bought this new nail polish from Chanel's Spring 2011 Collection called Peche Nacree, and discovered this wonderful illustration by Samantha Hahn via one of my favorite blogs The Pursuit of Style. What nail color will you be wearing this spring?

Summer 2010 Nail Color-Blue

If you see Chanel's Nouvelle Vague Le Vernis Nail Color anywhere, grab it. This sold out Limited Edition color is the hottest thing since last year's Jade. We of course bought it the day it arrived. This is summer's best catch-a blue that is bold, but wearable. "This new polish forms part of a collection that, with its bright, chilly pinks and shimmery bronzers carries with it a hint of toxic retro aesthetic, a distinctly Betty Draper sense of warped elegance and repressed rebellion." Sarah Vine, Times Online.

Summer 2010 Nail Color-Hot Pink

This new summer collection from Chanel is sensational. Riviera, a hot pink from the new Les Pop-Up Collection, is the perfect summer color. It will look wonderful with a tan, with gold or silver jewelry, and with summer colors. I'll wear this nail polish with a black linen sheath and Chanel sunglasses around DC for a classic summer look. Also, please pop over to The Shiny Pebble today to check out my guest post.

Spring 2010 Nail Color: Gray

Gray is one of the most coveted nail colors for spring. Chanel's Particulere, a cool shade, has become my favorite go-to. It's a wonderful neutral that looks gorgeous with everything you wear. Best of all it will take you from one season to the next.

Spring 2010 Nail Colors

This week we will be looking at the hottest and best trends in nail polish. The nude nail is a big trend this spring. If you are looking for chic and wearable nail colors that are subtle and classic, I love these two new colors by Chanel. Inattendu is a fleshy beige and Tendresse is a neutral pink. Both can be worn sheer or achieve an opaque look with more coats. Both are elegant choices for manicures or pedicures.
