In HBO's Bored to Death, Brooklyn is the new New York. The hero Jonathan Ames, played by Jason Schwartzman, is a modern day Humphrey Bogart in "The Maltese Falcon." His sartorial splendor includes a gorgeous machintosh raincoat, skinny ties, Ray Ban Wayfarers, and wonderfully patterned sport coats in plaids, checks, and herringbones. Ted Danson who plays magazine editor George Chrisptopher is a beautifully attired old New York (Manhattan) in his pinstripes, pocket squares, and cuff links.

ReplyDeleteI'm still after the boots Jason wore in episode #2 (and possibly other eps too), but haven't been able to track down the maker.

You don't also happen to know what kind of pants / denim shirt he is wearing in that first scene of the first episode?
