The Royal Wedding

Here is the sketch Ian Stuart drew when asked last fall how he would dress Kate Middleton. It is silk taffeta as was Lady Diana's, with an off the shoulder portrait neckline, trumpet skirt, and billowing train. Quite lovely. I am very excited about tomorrow. I will be at a watch breakfast bright and early-5 AM! and then a party tomorrow evening with a prize for the best hat, which I plan to win.

The Royal Wedding

My choice for Kate Middleton's wedding gown designer would be Ian Stuart. This London based bridal designer has won UK Bridal Designer of the Year five times in his career of just over a decade. His look is so British, modern but replete with historical underpinnings. I absolutely adore the dress above.

The Royal Wedding

With the Royal Wedding approaching, we thought it would be fun to look at some wonderful bridal fashion. Here at Style Redux we are quite taken with BHLDN, Anthropologie's new unique, romantic, vintage inspired yet modern bridal line. Here are some favorite pieces.

Tulle-Channeling Your Inner Ballerina
Tulle, ruffles, chiffon, and organza are going to be big this spring. Here are two lovely accessories that really capture this ethereal ballerina look, without looking costumey. I recently featured this amazing necklace in my post More Ruffles. Called the Battement Necklace, it is available at Anthropologie. Remember grands battement and petits battement from ballet? This would be gorgeous with a simple dress in black, navy, or charcoal gray.
