Oui Oui
Kate Spade Spring Summer 2014 is all about Paris with loads of pink, black and white, Giverny florals, and pastel tweeds. This may be my favorite KS collection yet.

Flou?
A great little tweed bag from Kate Spade with a Chanel vibe - the Carroll Park Tweed Scarlette. The color is "Flou." What in the world is flou? I Googled it, and flou is an alternative rock band from Paraguay or an old French word meaning soft, wilted, tired, or exhausted. ;-) I think I would have gone with orange or peach or tangerine.

Summer 2010 Flats-Tweed

I love the look of tweed flats for the summer. Such a luxe look. The top two pairs are currently available at J.Crew. But don't be afraid to wear a pair you might have picked up this winter. Fabrics like tweed, cashmere, and velvet are no longer reserved for winter, but add unexpected luxury to the summer wardrobe.

Timeless Tweed
Tweed is not just for the cold weather months, but, like velvet and cashmere, has become a fabric to wear all year round. The photo above is from the Chanel Cruise 2010 collection. Below are some great Kate Spade versions-a couple are even on sale. Tweed is timeless, classic, and elegant, and, in these great colors, will span the seasons for you.

Timeless Tweed

Tweed is always a classic choice for fall. It's just so versatile-- go casual and combine it with jeans and an oxford shirt, or fancy it up with a flirty frock. Both ways are chic and easy. This trend looks modern and fresh at the fall 09 runway shows- simple elegance come to mind. Designers like Burberry and Karl Lagerfeld know how to make tweed look stylish, smart, and sexy. I've picked a few pieces that are perfect for day, not to mention darling for work. Who could ask for more?
