CB2

I am a big fan of CB2. Owned by Crate and Barrel, its furniture and accessories are clean, fresh, modern, and affordable. You can add style to your place with a stemless martini glass for $2.50.  I especially like the Draper Sofa. It's clean mid-century references (homage to Dorothy Draper) are classic ($799).  I also love the new Vapor Chair for $179. It's acrylic and chrome design let it disappear in any space-perfect for the small dining room and a lot more affordable alternative to the Phillipe Starck ghost chair.

The Iconic Ghost Chair

The Phillipe Starck Ghost Chair is an icon. Released in 2002, its beautiful Louis XVI style, perfect ergonomics, and elegance in any setting have made it a modern classic. You may be unaware of the baby version that just came out called Lou Lou.  Available in a wide array of colors, it is wonderful. Don't feel limited to using it only in a child's room. At about $130, and even less on sale as is easily found online, it would be a great addition to any room. Use it as a work of art on its own, or to hold books or magazines. I am a huge fan of using a child's chair anywhere in the house-homage to Mario Buatta who often uses a child's chair as a beautiful accent piece in a living room or bedroom.
