Marni Inspired

I must confess I have an obsession with Marni jewelry. It all began the first time I visited the Marni store in SoHo a couple years ago. Since then I have followed and drooled over Marni earrings, bangles, and necklaces from one runway show to the next. I recommend checking out the Marni fall 2009 collection if you haven't already done so. The necklaces are glamorous and oversized. It's great to see that statement necklaces are an ongoing trend.

Over at Anthropologie I found three great pieces that have Marni written all over them. They could easily be mistaken for the real thing, but for only a fraction of the price. I'd be proud to add any of these eye catchers to my wardrobe. In fact, I felt inspired to share with you jewelry from fabulous Marni runway shows that are similar in concept and design.

Snakes on a Shoe

I am dying to get my hands on a new pair of snakeskin heels to wear for the much anticipated warmer months. Snakeskin is so exotic and sexy. I love the array of colors and the textural appearance of these heels. Show stopping shoes are very much in and this fabulous bunch from many of my fave designers will bring electricity to any wardrobe. I'm particularly drawn to the Marni platform with the wooden heel. You'll notice the many intricate details from skinny heels to funky ankle straps. The craftsmanship takes these above and beyond. When wearing a great snakeskin shoe keep your outfit simple, sleek, and color-coordinated.

Pretty Petals

I really love this necklace and cuff by Marni. I envision these pieces being worn during the day with a simple sheath or pantsuit, giving your look that dramatic edge. The fact that they're florals, but aren't obvious in design, is what interests me. I often gravitate towards jewelry with a unique and artistic feel. These are right up my alley. These statement pieces make a good investment for when you want to add a touch of modern elegance to your ensembles.
