Tell me that these Rodarte Spring 2009 Collection laser cut leather leggings and Frances Elkins loop chairs do not belong together.

The Iconic Loop Chair
The loop chair was created by American designer Frances Elkins in the 1930s. Although not perhaps as well known as others like Billy Baldwin or Dorothy Draper, she left an indelible mark on design. She, for example, was one of the first designers in the 2oth century to use antiques and modern pieces together. The loop chair though was her crowning glory. Its timeless modern elegance will define any room in which you use it. 1stdibs is a great source to find both antique and reproduction versions.
I love this amazing library/dining room by uber talented New York designer James Andrew and his use of these chairs.
This circa 1940 example can be found at Todd Merrill Antiques on 1stdibs.com.
Lovely reproduction at Downtown on 1stdibs.com. I love the aqua blue leather seat.

A beautiful reproduction at C. Bell-visit their web site-gorgeous things.
A stunning pair at Pegaso on 1stdibs.com.
A lovely print by artist Anne Harwell. If you haven't visited her web site Annechovie or seen her items available on Etsy, you are in for a real treat. Her beautiful and affordable work including prints and note cards make perfect gifts and would grace any home. I have four of her pieces and they are stunning.

This is a dining room I did for the first apartment of a very stylish young woman in D.C. I used curtains, lamps, and a knock-off tulip table from Ikea. I think these very urban modern supernatural chairs by Ross Lovegrove pay homage to the loop chair. The entire dining room was done for under $1000. These great chairs could be used later in a breakfast room, kitchen, porch, or balcony.
