Tweed is always a classic choice for fall. It's just so versatile-- go casual and combine it with jeans and an oxford shirt, or fancy it up with a flirty frock. Both ways are chic and easy. This trend looks modern and fresh at the fall 09 runway shows- simple elegance come to mind. Designers like Burberry and Karl Lagerfeld know how to make tweed look stylish, smart, and sexy. I've picked a few pieces that are perfect for day, not to mention darling for work. Who could ask for more?
Fab tweed finds! Looooove that cape!

ReplyDeleteFreakin love tweed. Gorgeous pics.
ReplyDeleteIt may be hotter than the sun itself outside, but I'm lusting after that little tweed cape. Some skinny jeans and leather gloves...yes, please!
ReplyDeleteI love tweed (if only it weren't so heavy -- here in Houston I can only wear it a few days a year). I'd say the DKNY look is my favorite...I love the rocker edge!
ReplyDeleteCC- Thanks! The cape is super chic.
ReplyDeleteKitty- The DNKY suit is so modern and cool.
ReplyDeleteFabBlab- It's wonderful isn't it?
ReplyDeleteAbby- Ohhh, that's a great look for sure.
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, I'm desperate for that Somerset Cape! Absolute perfection for Fall, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your blog. Found you through Haute Design.
Cheers.
Lovely - I am such a fan of tweed. I can't wait for fall and to break out my tweed suits!
ReplyDeleteAverill- Oh, that's too bad! The DKNY look is really great.
ReplyDeleteHer name was Lola- The cape is so pretty, but simple. Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteSanity Fair- I can't wait for fall too. I keep wishing for the temperatures to drop slightly so I can break out my transitional wear.
ReplyDeleteThese are GORGEOUS :) I can't choose one or even some - what if I would like all of these pieces? My grandma is a talented knitter, and knit me the softest pink hat that was on the cover of Vogue Knitting. I could see it pairing well with these warm-toned pieces...
ReplyDeleteSarah Klassen- What a lucky granddaughter. I want all of these pieces too. Sometimes it's hard to be selective.
ReplyDeleteWonderful tweed pieces! You're right, tweed is so classic & always chic. Here in Texas, it doesn't get too cold, but never mind that:) I have a couple of tweed pieces I always wear during fall or winter. BTW, heart those flats!
ReplyDeletemaureen- Thanks. The flats are just too cute and perfect for a stylish Texan.
