Yesterday afternoon in Georgetown, D.C. I noticed several stylish ladies wearing the exact same dress. They all looked comfortably chic. I had one of those fashion moments where I thought to myself, "Should I know about this dress?" Even a preteen pointed out to her mother, "Look! She's wearing that dress!" Clearly I was out of the loop on this one. I learned that the lovely little frock is by Calypso. Its simplicity makes it beautiful and ideal for the warm weather. I must admit these pictures don't do the dress justice. The silk is gorgeous and the braided neckline turns you into a Greek goddess. It's a perfect dress to pack when you're ready to hit the beach for the weekend. If you're looking to show off your sexy shape this dress looks terrific belted. I love that it comes in a long version too. And it has pockets!
Oooh.....I am going to go look for this, the long version as my legs don't tan (and have tried every self tanner known to the cosmetic industry). Thanks for sharing, they are all summertime lovely.
ReplyDeleteOooh, I love the madras version in particular!
ReplyDeleteVery cute - I love Calypso. Hope your week is off to a good start, Beth! XO
ReplyDeleteA Gift Wrapped Life- I'm gravitating towards the long dress too. You can't go wrong with maxi dresses in the summer.
ReplyDeleteticklishfromadistance- Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAverill- The madras dress is so much fun.
ReplyDeleteannechovie- Thanks. Calypso has some lovely pieces.
ReplyDeleteA girl at my college reunion a month ago had on that exact same turquoise dress! I remember the braiding around the neckline. She's from Florida and was very tan.
ReplyDeleteI love that neck line style on those dresses.

ReplyDeleteCyndy- One of the women I saw had on the turquoise and she was also very tan! It's a great color for summer.
ReplyDeleteNoel- Thanks. The neckline is so incredible.
ReplyDeleteSanity Fair- This looks like the most comfortable summer dress.
ReplyDeleteToo cute, I love the plaid-esque one! :)
