The Perfect Blush

I am always in search of the perfect blush. Here at Style Redux we were both intrigued by Stila's new Custom Color Blush that claims to react with your skin tone and PH to create the prefect shade just for you. Does it work? Yes! On my daughter's light complexion with blue eyes and blond hair, it is a beautiful natural looking pale pink. With my medium complexion with hazel eyes and brunette hair, it is a very natural looking peach. There is no glimmer or glitter which I hate, just a gorgeous glow. Ignore the vibrant color you see here, it looks very different on.

Fun In Feathery Frocks

One of my favorite runway looks this season is from Sonia Rykiel's show where models lined the catwalk in voluminous feathery cocktail dresses. They look like they're having a lot of fun in marabou, which makes this party look all the more alluring. Maybe only models can carry off wearing this much plumage and still look sexy and fierce. But there's no denying that feathers are one of the most decadent trends of the season. Let the holiday events commence.

Mad Men Party

Tonight I am co-hosting a Mad Men cocktail party. We will be attired in our finest sixties outfits. Drinks will include champagne cocktails, Manhattans, and dry martinis. The menu is salmon mousse, deviled eggs, ham salad, chicken salad, shrimp cocktail, quiche, raw veggies and dip, and cupcakes. Sorry, no pigs in the blanket. Lots of Frank Sinatra. The only thing missing will be cigarettes. People knew how to have fun then, didn't they?
